Bringing the message of Hope to those affected by crisis
September 2022
Update
The end of August and beginning of September have been very hot here in Colorado. Fire mitigation has continued thanks to faithful volunteers. We are closing out our “scheduled” local season this coming Saturday (September 10th) due to the closing of the Slash site. We will be working for an elderly couple doing fire mitigation this Saturday and are expecting our first cool workday in a very long time. With the scheduled season ending we will continue work through the end of the year and into the first of May 2023 (when the new scheduled season begins) as needs arise locally and as we can continue to get out nationally.
As we continue to watch the local and national picture of needs and disasters, we are continually in prayer to make sure we are focused on the activities that God has for us (Ephesians 2:10). We are currently prepared to go out nationally as volunteers for Samaritan’s Purse (SP) for disaster responses.
Support for disaster response is needed to support fuel costs, and supplies. Please prayerfully consider how you might be involved.
Volunteer Opportunities
Saturday is our last scheduled local workday. We will be working fire mitigation in the Black Forest starting at 9:00. If interested in helping please let us know at info@hoperestored.org.
We were contacted by a church out east today asking for firewood to give away to families in need. We are pursuing this and if we can find wood or trees that do not require us to clean up slash (the Slash closes September 11th) we will extend the season. Please let us know if you know of any firewood available at info@hoperestored.org.
We appreciate everyone who prays with us for this ministry and the opportunities to share the good news of Jesus.
