Update

The season has kicked off and we have been busy with workorders in town (Colorado Springs).

We have been helping a senior couple with trees. We were able to take down 9 trees that threatened both their house and yard and their neighbor’s property.

We have also been blessed with some smaller projects. While these projects were quick and easy for the team, they were very significant for the seniors whom we helped. We had the opportunity to fellowship with, and encourage one senior couple. Their faith is strong and it was a real blessing to serve. We had another small project for a senior widow. She was very excited to get help. We had the chance to talk and encourage her. She was surprised when she was told that you can be assured of salvation. This opened the door to encourage her to consider the idea that God is not interested in religion but desires a personal relationship.

It was almost 90 degrees in Colorado Springs Thursday (May 19th) and today (Friday May 20th) the temps have dropped and it has started to snow on and off. We are expecting heavy snows and have already been contacted to be on call to help with downed trees and branches expected from the heavy snow expected tonight and Saturday. As you know we don’t normally work on Sunday. However, with the expectation of hazards caused by downed trees and branches we may be making an exception for this coming Sunday afternoon.

Please let us know about your availability for Sunday afternoon, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Sunday to Tuesday are placeholders in the case of urgent community needs. We are planning a workday for Wednesday. You can let us know your availability by emailing us at info@hoperestored.org.
