Bringing the message of Hope to those affected by crisis
Updates and Volunteer Opportunity – June 2022 Update We have been heavily involved in helping with the Spring Snow Storm cleanup in Colorado Springs for the past few weeks. United Way contacted us and asked if we could help 16 families with downed limbs and trees. We have been able to help those 16 and an additional 12 families so far. We are ending this week with a workday on Saturday (6/11) and expect to complete another 5 work orders to close out all of the requests for the Spring Snow Storm event. There are a few work orders still open for families whom we started work on their properties and we are working to schedule a return visit to complete. The truck is back in the shop and we hope to have it back today (6/10). Please pray with us that the intermittent issues will be resolved with the fix they are completing yesterday and today. |

Volunteer Opportunities With the close out of the final Spring Snow Storm work orders, rescheduling of the two or three other open work orders, and lack of expected fire mitigation requests we will be taking a break from local work for a week or two. During this time, we will be working with the El Paso County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), fire departments, and senior centers to identify families needing help with fire mitigation. Also, during this time, we will be working to assist Samaritan’s Purse with fire response to the New Mexico fires. |

Schedule The current plan is to complete our work day Saturday (6/11) and then to work the process of identifying, assessing, and scheduling fire mitigation workdays. We are scheduling September 3rd and 7th as days off from our work schedule to accommodate for the Labor Day weekend |
