Update

Work order requests in Colorado Springs have slowed significantly. We have a couple workorders open that we are working to get dates to address. Do you have elderly, single moms, disabled neighbors, church members, or friends who need help? If so, please let us know.

We spent two very busy weeks in Mora, NM working the Hermits Peak fire cleanup as volunteers with Samaritan’s Purse. Mora is the most impoverished county in New Mexico. The people were amazing to serve and there were many opportunities to share the gospel! There were 16 people who came into a relationship with Jesus during the clean-up effort!! We cleared trees focusing on the complex and dangerous. We also had the opportunity to train volunteers on operating chain saws and chippers.

The truck is out of the shop and ran without issues to get us down and back to Mora, NM. We have experienced several issues since with getting the truck started. The effort to get the problem resolved continues…

Volunteer Opportunities

We are hoping to make contact with homeowners and to have a workday this coming Saturday, 23 July (weather permitting). The work will be splitting and loading wood.

With the extreme heat this summer there is a concern with the safety of working on days where the temperatures reach 90 degrees or greater. Our options are starting earlier, having shorter days, and rescheduling to keep the volunteers safe. We appreciate your patience with this adjustment.

Prayer Requests / Praises

We appreciate everyone who prays with us for this ministry and the opportunities to share the good news of Jesus.

Please pray for:

  • Opportunities to serve.
  • Getting the truck back in service.
  • Wisdom and finances to outfit the skid steer.

Praise God for:

  • Safety and travel mercies for the Hermits Peak Fire response.
  • Provision of equipment.
  • Keeping all of the volunteers safe as they continue to serve.
  • Travel mercies going to and from disaster sites.
  • HIS great grace, mercy, and provision.
